C:\PCB\GEN\DIRNEW.

Line #1 of this configuration file is the path AND full name of the
PCBoard DIR file that you wish to strip.
Line #2 of this configuration file is the number of columns to the
first character of the item to be stripped. This is usually in
column 34 of a standard PCBoard DIR file. It is always the
second character after the pipe symbol (|) in the secondary
descriptor line.
Line #3 of this configuration file is the option you want. The following
options (and these ONLY) apply:
1) enter a U if you want those pesky 'Uploaded by:' lines
deleted; 2) enter an F if you just want the 'Files:' lines
deleted; and 3) enter a B if you want both deleted!
The configured file will be read and stripped per your instructions and
the new file will be written out to a file named DIR.SAV in whatever
directory you run the executable from. The DIRST.CFG file must also
exist in the same directory that DSTRIP1.EXE is executed from. This is
FREEWARE, so i did not take the time to use any error trapping to see if
the file to be converted really exists, the file to be converted is
NOT open shared, etc. Access to the DIR file is not allowed once DIRST1.EXE
opens it for read operations!
MAKE SURE there isn't a file named DIR.SAV in the directory..if there is,
this program will overwrite it!
Cheers!
